For a lot of bettors, the idea of being able to place an accumulator wager interests them because it gives them the chance to have a bet with longer odds than a more standard one would allow. In fact, some people bet foolishly just because it’s an acca, adding leg upon leg onto their wager in the hope that it will extend their odds to eye-watering levels. The problem with accumulators as a bet type is that you don’t win them very often. Only one leg needs to let you down and your bet is down. That is where Ladbrokes’ Acca Insurance comes in, whilst the Boost can potentially add some money onto your winnings.

How the Acca Boost Works

Ladbrokes Odds Boost ButtonFirst things first, a look at the Acca Boost. This is a promotion whereby the odds on your accumulator that you’re placing with Ladbrokes can receive a boost. In order to take advantage of it you need to place a qualifying accumulator wager and then look for the Odds Boost button, which you’ll find in your betslip. This will then give you potential winnings a boost in price, but do bear in mind that you can only use one Acca Boost a day. In other words, you should think carefully about which accumulator bet you’re placing that you think will benefit the most from receiving a slight bump in the potential winnings you might get.

Some customers can receive as many as three Acca Boost tokens, which is worth keeping an eye on. Your token will expire at 23.59 on the day you received it. The boost will apply to the first £50 of any stake placed, which is another fact that you’d do well to think about. You can’t use boosts alongside any free bets, with only real money wagers applicable. It is also only the sportsbook that an they can be used, but you can mix and match your spots when it comes to taking advantage. Provided the bet qualifies, you can take advantage of the offer when it suits you.

Looking at the Acca Insurance

Ladbrokes Acca Insurance Indicator ButtonThe world of accumulators is a complicated one. You look at a wealth of different markets and then place your bet, with numerous different legs on it to extend your odds. The problem is, unless every single leg comes home, you will lose your bet.

Ladbrokes’ Acca Insurance looks to compensate this scenario by providing you with a free bet if one team lets you down on your qualifying accumulator bet. The offer is available on accas with five or more legs that are all placed on football matches, with the following markets qualifying for it:

  • Match Result
  • Both Teams to Score
  • Match Result & Both Teams to Score
  • Correct Score
  • Over/Under Total Goals
  • 2up&win

You need to ensure that you’ve placed a real money bet, with each selection having minimum odds of 1/10, which has to be the odds before any odds boosts have been applied. The entire accumulator also needs to have odds of 3/1 or greater. If exactly one leg of your accumulator lets you down, you will get your stake back as a free bet when all of the matches in your accumulator have been settled. The free bet will be up to a value of £10. That doesn’t mean that your bet can’t be more than £10, but if it is and one leg of it fails, you’ll only get a £10 free bet.

Using the Free Bet

Ladbrokes Premier League Match Betting

If you’ve placed a qualifying accumulator bet with five legs or more and just one of those legs has let you down, you’ll receive a free bet of up to £10. Once that’s happened, you will no doubt find yourself wondering how you can make use of it. The good news is that there is no immediate need to decide what to do with it, given the fact that you have seven days before the token will expire if it hasn’t been used. You can get as many as three free bets per day, depending on your account and numerous other things that Ladbrokes tend to consider before offering such promotions.

One thing to bear in mind when trying to take advantage of the offer is that you can’t cash out your bet or even use the Edit Bet function, else you will forfeit your right to get a free bet if one leg of your acca is a losing one. You can’t redeem the free bet for cash, but there are no wagering requirements on any winnings you get from bets placed with them. Your free bet will need to be used as a single bet, but it can be placed on any sports market. Should your wager placed with one be successful, you will not receive the free bet stake amount back with any winnings that you receive.
